Dr. Aziz Kerim Turkoglu
Dentist and Specialist in Orthodontics
Dr. Aziz Kerim Turkoglu was born in Erzincan and completed his school education in Izmir, including studies at Saint-Joseph French Middle School. He entered Ege University Faculty of Dentistry in 1986 and graduated first in his class in 1991. After completing his military service, he began postgraduate training in orthodontics at Ege University, earning his PhD in 1997. During his dental education, he was awarded the Haci Omer Sabanci Foundation Higher Education Scholarship (1986–1991). His doctoral studies were supported by the TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) Scientist Training Group Domestic PhD Scholarship (1993–1997). During his training, he attended educational programmes led by internationally recognised orthodontists, including Alexander, Burstone, Marcotte, Gianelly and Bennett. He has practised in his own clinic with his wife, dentist Burcak Turkoglu, in Alsancak, Izmir, since 1998. In 2005, he received Alexander Discipline Instructor certification from the Alexander Foundation in Arlington, Texas. His orthodontic work includes clear aligners, functional and fixed appliances for children, teenagers and adults.
Alongside his orthodontic specialty, Dr. Turkoglu has developed extensive experience in implant dentistry through continuing education in Turkey and Germany and clinical practice. He personally carries out digital implant planning, implant surgery and implant-supported prosthetic restorations, and places orthodontic implants (temporary anchorage devices, or TADs). His combined clinical experience supports coordinated care for patients who need both orthodontic treatment and replacement of missing teeth, including orthodontic space preparation before implant placement. His digital workflows include intraoral scanning, three-dimensional imaging when indicated, dental photography and digital smile design. Treatment plans are tailored to each patient’s clinical findings, functional needs and long-term care requirements. He also provides dental Botox applications as part of treatment for gummy smile and bruxism, following individual clinical assessment.
Dr. Turkoglu regularly participates in national and international congresses, seminars and professional training programmes. He is the author of Ortodontinin Esaslari (The Essentials of Orthodontics), published in Turkish in 2012, and continues to deliver lectures on orthodontics, the Alexander Discipline, digital dental photography, digital smile design and clear aligners. He served as a part-time instructor at Eastern Mediterranean University from 2021 to 2023. He also holds a valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) registration in Specialist Orthodontics. He speaks English and French and communicates directly with patients in both languages, as well as Turkish. Dr. Turkoglu also creates AI-assisted educational content for the clinic’s Instagram (@drturkogludentalclinic) and YouTube channel, explaining dental and orthodontic topics to a wider audience. He is married and has a daughter.

Dentist Burcak TURKOGLU
Dentist Burcak TURKOGLU was born in Izmir. She attended elementary, secondary and high school in Manisa. Afterwards, she got acceptance to the University of Ege, the Faculty of Dentistry, in 1991.
She has been working in her own clinic in Alsancak-Izmir, since 1998. To follow the latest technologies in dentistry, Dr. Burcak Turkoglu completed many professional courses on Porcelain Laminate Veneers, Dental Diode Lasers, Orthodontic Implants, Digital Smile Design and Dental Photography etc. She continues to participate regularly in both national and international congress, seminars and training programs to update her knowledge and skills. She is experienced especially on Restorative Dentistry, Digital Smile Design, Esthetic Dentistry and Orthodontics.
She speaks fluently English. She is married and has a daughter.
Ecem Buket TURKOGLU
Ecem Buket Türkoğlu was born in 1998 in İzmir. She completed her primary, secondary, and high school education (Takev Anatolian and Science High School) in İzmir. In 2018, she was admitted to the Faculty of Dentistry at Varna Medical University. She continued her dental education respectively at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine and the Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University Faculty of Dentistry, graduating in 2024. To keep up with the latest developments in dentistry, she completed professional courses in areas such as Porcelain Laminate Veneers, Basic Implant Surgery, Implant-Supported Prosthetics, and Digital Dentistry. She continues to participate in national and international congresses, seminars, and training programs. She currently works as a Coordinating Administrator at Dr.Turkoglu Dental Clinic and BBK Aligner. She speaks English and German.
Zeynep ASICI
Zeynep Aşıcı was born in İzmir in 1992. She graduated successfully from the Department of English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Science and Letters, Kafkas University in 2017. She started working as a Coordinator Assistant at our clinic in 2018. Within our clinic, she plays an active role not only in physician assistant processes but also in patient satisfaction and health tourism processes.

Jane is also planned to take on a role in the clinic’s future AI-assisted telephone and WhatsApp patient enquiry and appointment system.
