What Digital Planning Adds
Three-dimensional imaging can help evaluate bone and anatomical structures and relate implant position to the intended restoration. A surgical guide may be produced in selected cases.
Not a Substitute for Examination
Digital planning supports clinical judgement. See the full dental implants in Izmir pathway and digital dentistry.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is 3D planning used for every implant?
It may be used when clinically indicated, not automatically in every case. Digital planning can improve visualization of anatomy and the intended restorative position, but it does not remove biological or surgical risk. The clinician still needs to assess each case individually and adapt the plan when necessary.
Does a guide remove surgical risk?
No. Guided surgery still requires professional judgement and has limitations. Digital planning can improve visualization of anatomy and the intended restorative position, but it does not remove biological or surgical risk. The clinician still needs to assess each case individually and adapt the plan when necessary.
